Taiwan Typhoon Report http://www.tealit.com/article_categories.php?section=weather&article=typhoon
There are two storms, separated by about 1,500 kilometers.
The radius of the closer storm, Tembin, is forecast to arrive Thursday morning, August 23rd around 9am.
The storm will then make its way across Taiwan over Thursday and Friday starting in the east and then moving south.
Heaviest wind and rains will be in eastern and southern Taiwan over Thursday and Friday.
Northern Taiwan is expected to get less rain as the current track is for landfall in eastern Taiwan and then movement south.
Tembin is forecast to be into the Taiwan straits by late Friday evening. However, due to the presence of the second storm
and what meteorologists call the Fujiwhara Effect, it is possible that Tembin could stall in the straits, through possibly even Monday.
This would greatly increase the rainfall across southern Taiwan if it occurs.
