Dale's Ford. When a road and a stream intersect, the road usually crosses the
stream. Here on Dale Road it's the other way around. Locals complain that the
stream, a trickle on a midsummer day, becomes a rapid in the spring and an ice
rink in the winter. So its picturesque cobblestone bed may someday have to
give way to a culvert.
