A beautiful moth native to Florida and the South Tropics. Its host plants are the Paradise Tree (Simarouba glauca) and Simarouba amara. A very invasive pest tree, The Tree-of-Heaven (Ailanthus altissima), originally from China, also serves as a host plant and gives this beautiful moth its common name.
