We decided to take a hike up Saddle Mountain. It was something we had been talking about for years, so I guess that makes it a bucket list item. It was a very pleasant day at the mountain; unfortunately, there was coastal fog so we couldn't see the Columbia River or the ocean. The hike was rather tough for us. There was a lot of vertical and in some places the footing was slippery, but the view from the top (and the satisfaction of actually doing it) made the effort worth while. We stopped in Seaside on the way back to try out a new restaurant and brewery. We had fish and chips. I am afraid to say that there is no better fish and chips in the world than what you can get at a stand in England.
