This parent is gathering food for its chick in a nearby "nest"....under a pile
of wood debris on an abandoned pier. Even though the food demands of the
chick are quite high...about 7 feedings per hour, it is a simple task for
the parents since there is an abundance of shellfish around them on the
rocky shores.
