This is the smallest of all damselflies. Only about 20mm long and very, very slim. So it is tiny and fragile.
It flies about 20 cm over the ground in grass, so it's very hard to photograph.
Extinct i most of Western Europe and extremely rare in other parts. We only have a single small peat bog in the country where it still can be found
