I'm guessing that that's Helmi on the left and you in the center ... correct? Looks like it was a fun day at the beach

Pure Joy.

I guess like many outside Scandinavia, I don't associate Finland with beaches!

Thank you for your comments, Anitta. I see you live in a wonderful place. I get to visit Helsinki a few times a year, and love to explore the country.

Hi Anitta, this lovely fun shot works well because you have set
the scene but isolated your subjects resulting in a simple yet
very effective composition - this is the way to go! Congratulations and vote.

Great Shot, seems as if young girls around the globe do the same thing when the get exited, have a similar picture from here! Also good to know that it gets warm enough there for you to enjoy your beaches!

Phil! Thank you for your comment and the link, wonderful shots - and I love b/w pictures! What you say is so true!! You really can see a glimpse of these girls personality here. The girl on the left is my younger granddaughter, she's very vivid and lively. In the middle is my eldest granddaughter, she's usually more careful in her actions. The girl in the right is their friend, also a very lively girl. Had a great summer day with these three young ladies!

You make this moment in time incongruous by contrasting the two flying bodies to one that remains firmly grounded in the wet sand. A photographer named Philippe Halsman once asked some of the most famous people in the world to jump for him, and he published a book of such pictures in 1959. You can see some of them athttp://www.retronaut.co/2011/10/jump-1959-by-philippe-halsman/ When you photograph people doing something they do not normally do, they seem to lose their inhibitions, and their personality is revealed. The two people jumping in your picture seem to be utterly free spirits.
