Jellyfish..(Do not touch)

Found along the Atlantic seaboard. This one is alive and impatiently waiting for high tide to return it home. A sting from it's venom can sometimes be fatal unless immediate medical attention is made available...

Looks like a Man O War. Wish I had know not to touch it when I was a kid. He got me good which brought a whole army of lifeguards down to the water's edge. They did a great job of cleaning the acid off but I carried the marks for several years before they faded. I was about five years old and I can still recall seeing the pretty blue "bubbles" floating in the water. Fascinating creatures! V
