I had all but given up on this bird, after about 8 hours of searching over an afternoon and morning. Finally, after making our last trip down to the most relular location, we walked on down the river another 1/4 or so and I finally heard the bird singing in the distance. Luckily, it sang fairly regularly, and we were able to locate it in a snag on the other side of the river. Pix are distant, but luckily it is a very distinctive bird!
