We landed only 15 minutes late at Frankfurt and still missed dour connection.
How any airline or the Frankfurt airport believes a 45 minute connection is remotely possible with the worst airport setup anywhere I've traveled is beyond me. Only Steve and Alecz were transferred to the 1:15 flight to Barcelona and Marilyn and I were placed on the waiting list. With our vacation hanging in the balance, I spent the next 6 hours talking to 6-8 ticket agents and was forced to leave the security area to talk to Air Canada and Luftansa ticket agents only to find they couldn't do anything as it was a "computer system error". After trying another two ticket desks, the business lounge ticket agent and finally the one at the gate, I was able to get Marilyn and I bumped to the top of the waiting list. In the entire process we had 3 gate changes and I had to run to each to get first in line. Fortunately for us two American flights were an hour late and missed there connection so we got two of the last 3 seats on the plane.
