many kinds of boats ply the Fraser River, but among the key craft are tugboats, the workhorses of industry on this important aquatic link...the log boom in the foreground would have been brought here by a similar tug

An interesting photo for many reasons. You don't see those log booms on the Ottawa River anymore, out this way, but I can still remember when they were common, and of course, on the Fraser, as this fine shot shows, they are still a feature. And oh, those little tugboats... VV
