Rhubarb fungus (Boletellus obscurecoccineus)

I am getting too old to be the contortionist you need to be to capture some of these fungi!

Cool find. Yes, an angled viewfinder attachment would really help with these types of shots.

What a wonderful colour. This sort of picture is why my aching bones love the swivel screen and permanent live view on my Lumix GH2 :)

Yes ... have to bend ..... nice shot.

I sympathise!!! A great fungus though and probably worth the bend! I wouldn't try eating it!

This is a great point of view though. Love that purple color with the gold trim. Quite beautiful. V.

oh I know what your saying...like JJ's idea though LOL!!

So many of them look so good, but this is a winner

How beautiful but I imagine the colour is for a purpose...

You need a toepod, simply attach a tripod ball head to a steel toe capped boot and with a remote trigger you never need to contort again.
Love the colour.

What an unusual one! Shall I bring the custard?
Well done, I know what you mean about having to get so low :0)

What an unusual little fungi, you must be so fit Sheila! At a guess I should think this one is not for the plate... !
