The Labrador Current off the east coast of Newfoundland is often referred to as "Iceberg Alley". In the spring, hundreds of these huge pieces of glacier float by towards the Guff Stream, where they meet their doom.
Some, like this one, make their way into the bays and inlets, go firmly aground and eventually melt or break up there.
