Abula vulpes.....Bonefish....Phantom of the Flats, feeds on worms, shrimp, snails, mollusks, crabs and syncs with the tidal flows which bring them from deep waters. This is one of the world's Premier Fly Fishing fish chased by many anglers.
Sometimes you see them opportunistically follow a feeding stingray and inhale the food debris kicked up by the ray.
Bonefish have "crusher plates" on the back of their throats for cracking clams, snails, and pistachio nuts.
