This really seemed like hell. We drove on and on in a canyon and thought for sure they would have had a sign saying if you go to Hell you'll never get out! The sun was beginning to set and we drove for over an hour down a pretty rough road and a bit muddy at times. Finally we came to a place where the road just dropped off about 3'. This was when we realized the only way out of Hell's Canyon was the way we came it. It seemed like this canyon went on to infinity!
He, he....here is an oak forest with Kilometers of roads forward, left and right at 90 degrees. All looks the same and are wide the same, so to be lost is easy. I was smart enough to not enter very far with My car and was able to go back.
What a good story! Usually it is me driving (on a place like this) with Winnie having said an hour earlier - go back. Somehow, on vacation, everything is a good adventure - even the bad places.
