Captain Phillips ran steamboats up and down the rivers of the area. He had a house in Lumber City as did Capt. John L. Day. Cap'n Joe Willcox built and ran steamboats also. His house was in Jacksonville, Ga. It looks like the date on this is 1913/23?? Steamboats ran for about a hundred years on the river.
