It was so exciting to watch Jay Leno's standup comedy performance with up close and personal seats at the The Comedy and Magic Club. The coolest thing of all was to see him screen his jokes on 3" X 5" cards with this small live audience using old school technology. He had reading glasses inside an old leather case held shut with a rubber band and he recorded this part using a decades old micro-cassette recorder that Merv Griffin had given him. He said he's listen to the playback and use the jokes with the great applause. Sure enough - on the Monday, May 14th episode of NBC's The Tonight Show he used many of the same jokes he first tried on the small audience of the Comedy and Magic Club the night before. Kudos to Jay - proving that great success is achieved through diligence and hard work because he does this every Sunday evening.
