During one of our trips up to check for voice mail/return calls, Dave got out to get a photo or two for me of the amazing valley view far below. While doing so, he noticed this on the ground. He thinks it's bear skat (poop). Might be...black bears inhabit this part of the mountain region! If so, it's the closest we came to being near a black bear during our vacation.
