I got some nasty pokes from prior years' shed cactus spines when I sat nearby to get this image, so I was more circumspect
for the rest of our tour. LaMar Orton has done some incredible work on the five acres of Plantasia Gardens, bringing dryland plants
from across the western and southwestern U.S. and a few from across the oceans.
