This eaglet "Jack" was born just 3 months ago and has grown larger than its parents.
As it learns to feed itself it will slim down and actually grow shorter feathers.
At five years old it will have the familiar white head and tail feathers.
The forest service closes a large area of forest from December 1st until March 1st as an eagle habitat.
Good idea but hard to get closer images, someone once said "the proper lens is 100mm more than your longest".
