Roman Cut Stone

Entablatures: according to the Merriam-Webster Dictionary: "a horizontal part in classical architecture that rests on the columns."
The "architrave" is the lowest, least pretty part that would rest directly on the column.
Above that is the decorative band called the "frieze."
The part that juts out along the top is the "cornice."
