Apparently the gull above was trying to intimidate the Brown Pelican
into regurgitating its catch. It even managed to drive the pelican
down to a water landing though it was not successful otherwise.
This is a cropped shot of the distant action.
First thought the gull a Mew, then Ring-billed, and now (from a
better birder),,,a Western.
