My beloved Max left me on April 3, 2012 after being my faithful and loving companion for 17 years. But I know he'll be back. He just had to go get a brand new body to come back in. Max used to be Sadie before he reincarnated into Max's body, so this particular feline soul had actually been with me for 30 years. So, in a few months, with a new appearance, I know my old familiar companion will find me again, and I'll recognize those eyes when I see them.
