This artistic iron seat has been here ever since I first visited these woods. It appears to be a greyhound trying to grab its tail running around the oak trees trunk. It may be a memorial to the dog. I have no info as there is no plaque.
According to a publication for the reserve it is a deer chasing its tail. I cannot agree with this.
