10. Wiring complete.

Wiring finished and all working. Just needs to be tidied up and fixed so it does not flap about.
Next step to waterproof the important bits.
Then a running test in the bath.
The boat weighs 13lb, it floats just about right.
Rather than put dead weight in as ballast, all the weight needed to float level is made up by the lead acid batterys.
That way I should get really good running time.

ok, sounds good.

Mine is now having sea trials, not going well. looks like I need a new (dearer) transmitter. if I steer right and then apply throttle, it will only go backwards. But if I use throttle first and THEN steer right, it all works ok.

Bob, according to the literature that came with the motors they have built in supression.
The batterys are both 6v 8 ah in series making 12v.
Hoping for quite a long running time.

john, you have no radio suppressors on those motors, theyr going to make radio interfence.

are those batteries in series? hard to see from this shot, but if you have red to black and red to to power, you now have 24 volts.

Unlike RC airplanes, you have lots of room for motors, batteries, controllers, etc. Neat installation. Have you got your camera yet?
