Dutchman's breeches (Dicentra cucullaria)

The common name comes from the faint resemblance of the flower to a pair of upturned breeches! Another native, early-blooming, spring flower of woodlands.

They have seed pods that explode when you touch them don't they? At least the ones in Oregon do.

You find the most interesting flowers. This really does look like a pair of britches. Beautiful flower and capture. V.
