We had loads of shoots of orchid tree coming up in a shady area of the garden over
the past couple of years and people told us that they would not flower so we pulled
most of them up, leaving a couple in a slightly sunnier area which grew very tall
and I was delighted to see this beautiful flower emerge - well worth the wait!
