If I understand correctly, this was the private residence of
A.J. and Nona Trigg Hodges years ago when Hodges Gardens was
a commercially viable enterprise. Now, after being bypassed
by a more recent Interstate Highway, it's a relatively little-known,
albeit pretty state park (despite tight funding and minimal staffing).
Back in the day, all traffic to and from the Hodges home was by boat.
