Crafts



Tatting and Crochet - neither of which I can do with any success.

As a small child I marveled at the tiny loops of thread which formed the delicate chains of stitches. Try as she
might my Grandmother failed in teaching her ham-fisted granddaughter to do Tatting. I can Crochet, just a little. :)

Tatting is HARD! I tried to learn it once and gave up. Love the bone tatting shuttle. Great composition and wonderful dof. V

Well, you can always photograph the results. Nice detail / texture in the thread, and the presence of the finger gives both a sense of scale and a pointer to their nature as real "handcrafts".

Wonderful work. Tatting is almost a dying art these days. I can do neither, nor can I knit. I too am ham-fisted! V

I'm not sure what tatting is.... I've never tried crochet either but did attempt knitting when I was about 13 yo!

Tatting is a craft i never tried, crochet I love, but rarely do these days...I like how you included snippets of both in here
