Louisiana Irises as far as the eye can see

Louisiana Cypress Swamp

Millions of Louisiana irises are blooming in the swamps and bayous of Louisiana. It is Louisiana State Wildflower. Now, if only I could find a field of the rare, copper colored ones.
There are five distinct Louisiana irises with this blue and the copper being the most visible. Before housing developments, roads and commerce, Louisiana was ablaze with the irises in March.
