It could be said that in re-dedicating this church,to the Saxon Queen Margaret of Scotland(see reference above),this was a less than subtle attempt to ingratiate the Norman Lords of the area,with the Saxon serfs.Within this church is a life size painting by Fyffe Christie,of the Nativity.see http://www.pbase.com/taggart51/image/90240490
