My first sightseeing action, after a lovely sleep of, about, seven hours (the school outside provided a good wake-up call), was to climb the lovely leavy roads to Wat Doi Thong, pretty deserted as most visitors to Chiang Rai just use it as a base for hilltribe treks. Everyone was pretty chilled out up here, and the views wew quite good, too.
