Nepean river on the rise...Sydney's Dams are overflowing!

Nepean River, Penrith

This image was taken this afternoon, the river is on the rise..you can see the small jetty and boat ramp are now fully under water.
Warragamba Dam is at capacity, and has tonight opened it's 'spill-gates', so the river would now be higher..and rising.
1000 people living in the area have been told to evacuate, many refusing to leave.
Further on down the river, towards Richmond and Windsor, their bridges are under threat and people will be cut off.
Floods are happening in Bathurst, Goulburn and Cooma..roads are under water and towns are busy sandbagging!!
Sydney has not seen rain like this, to fill all the dams, since 1998. We have been on water restrictions for many years since then...it's exciting to see the Dams fill up, but scary thoughts for those who are about to suffer the rising waters.

Oh, I was going to ask how you were going with the endless rain you are having! It must be scary seeing the river rise like this.
I hope it stops soon.
