The Argyle - 1890

The Argyle Apartments building, built in 1890, is being dismantled stone by stone following a very destructive fire last week.

South Main Street
Findlay, OHIO

(Side note: That's a P&H crane boom in the lower left corner. The larger boom in the foreground is a on a Link Belt crane. Growing up, P&H, Manitowok, Bucyrus Erie, Link Belt, etc. were just common terms around my house. My father was a life-long crane operator and was very proud of it. The taller the boom or the bigger the load the better. The night before a big lift was an anxious evening at home and no one slept well. It can be a very dangerous job and no crane operater wants to "lose a boom.")

It's amazing that people can do things like this. Being able to dismantle a building with a crane was probably unimaginable a few years ago! This looks like it was quite the project! http://acjonestrucking.com/
