"From almost the moment they hit the streets, TR4s were found on racetracks all over the country. They may have looked very different compared to their TR3 predecessors, but they shared many chassis and engine components, which meant that many high-performance parts were immediately available. TR4s were frequent winners in SCCA competition, especially in the hands of Group 44 and Bob Tullius in the East and Kas Kastner on the West Coast.
