This hilltop pond,near Stapleford Hall Farm,is seriously short of water.It doesn't look like it,in this pic,but I was able to walk across the bottom of the pond,to the edge of the much reduced pond,you see in the image.The reflections look pretty enough,but the water is stagnant;a bright green in colour,riddled with black,dead, branches and roots.An awful sight.So,please,when next you kneel before the Almighty;Pray for rain.Please.
Should you take the time to look at the map of the pond's location,it shows an elongated pond.Only a small central,stagnant, pool now exists.
