I should point out that Tara had a pretty full crop before I allowed Megan to handle her. I surely don't want to put Megan in harm's way. It is a real treat to see the way these two interact. It is almost as if Tara knows that Megan is a youngster. She is very gentle with her, not having bitten or footed her once. If Megan pets Tara the wrong way or in a place that Tara would rather not have her, then Tara will take her beak and gently move Megan's hand to an acceptable location.
