In early european settlement of New Zealand, roofing iron was a scarce commodity. As buildings fell into disuse the corrugated iron was always recycled for other use.

This is excellent! I like your touch as well. Looks like the base of the cottage in the front was made with railroad ties. Can you imagine the critters making their way in? Shrug.
