Jumping spider, possibly Phidippus princeps

This jumping spider was photographed on a milkweed pod at the Fletcher Wildlife Garden in the autumn of 2011. I have often found that milkweeds seem to attract a disproportionate number of these spiders and so I frequently check these plants in summer and fall. I don't know the ID of this little spider.

bristling with energy, and of course spikey hairs...the doubled eyes may help with distance and trajectory for this little leaper..V

I love spiders and this one is so cute. For some reason, the eyes and the shape remind me of an old Studebaker. LOL... don't ask me why. V

Spiders can't really jump, can they? JK. Fabulous and detailed close up. I like all his eyes. V.
