When I left home I didn't know Jill's flight had a forty minute delay.
Her airplane had to have snow and ice sprayed from its wings before
it was allowed to depart Philadelphia's winter wonderland.
An app on my phone let me know about the time change.
The GPS app on the same phone told me I had plenty of time to stop for a cup of coffee;
and where to stop, during my hour and a half drive to meet the flight.
Sure enough, just as both apps said I would, I arrived at the airport as
Jill's flight flew over the tree-line on final approach to the runway.
You have to love the magic of civilization and modern technology.
