No self-respecting pirate would be caught wearing such a fancy eye-patch. After cataract surgery I only have to wear this when i go to bed so I won't rub my eye.

I want to thank everyone for your good wishes yesterday. Everything went fine. The anticipation was the worst of it. I felt nothing at all during the actual procedure.

Ahhhhhhhhh!!!!
Reassurring but....i can understand the nervousness prior to the surgery.
It is never fun...
Glad you are fine, we need to see more of you and your photography :))

I’m sincerely happy all went well for your surgery, but in spite of the not orthodox eye-patch I think you would be an extremely charming and gentle pirate!

LOL @ Karen!
So glad to know you are ok. Must've been horrible thinking about it!

It looks like a fly eye. :) I'm glad everything went well and you will be very happy you had this surgery. Great self portrait.

Arg!!!!! you need to get one of those eye patches that has the head band and then a pirates cap and sail on your 'ship' ! Seriously, I do hope you get better soon!

Anticipation is the very worst! If I am going to have something done, I want it done half an hour after they tell me, not wait two weeks. Yes, the patch to prevent rubbing is excellent idea. Glad you did well and now you've got wonderful, new eyesight.

I had to find mine every morning. I'd pulled it off and threw it in the night. LOL

I will have my left eye done on January 25th and my right eye on February 6th. I will be so glad to see again. Get rid of the fog and double vision they are creating. Almost impossible to shoot in manual mode. My picture taking has been on hold until I get these cataracts removed. I'm glad all went well for you.

Had that done a couple of years ago and you're right - the dread was the worst part. Except that it was so weird to be awake and know that someone is cutting your eye open! Arrrrrrrr! :)
