Jim, don't worry. I read on the internet that 7 out of 10 enraged
moose will chase a photographer with a Nikon when given the choice
between Nikon and Canon.
Thanks, Terri. I was way too close for sure. If you look under her belly you can see the legs of her calf. What I did have going for me safety wise was a bunch of stupid idiots up on the road who were taking turns standing closer and closer to her to get their picture taken with the moose. Notice how she's looking straight ahead... she's keeping a real close eye on them. That gave me the distraction I needed to keep back a bit, still get some good shots, but knowing I too was closer than I should have been.
A couple days after this I was chased by a black bear!
