This little box was handmade by me and can be used to keep small pieces of jewelry (like a special ring), small trinkets, or other little secrets.

The box measures 1 1/2 inches square and the lid measures 1 3/4 inches square. It is 1 inch deep. I made the box from copper sheet, soldering each box and lid edge carefully. The lid is made from copper, but I added a decorative brass piece, which I cut and pierced with a pattern, then secured it to the top of it with rivets. The inside bottom of the box has a nicely placed velvet bottom to protect the precious items inside.

The box has been highly patinaed to give it an old, rustic feel, as though it had just been found on a beach. It is full of patina colors, like blues, greens, and reds with hints of polished copper and brass radiating throughout. CJ203_DSC0567.jpg
