The Niederwald Temple on the hills above the town.
The original temple was built by the Count of Ostein in 1788. Among those who visited it during the 19th century were Beethoven and Goethe. In 1944 allied bombers destroyed the temple completely, and this reconstructured temple was inaugurated in June 2006.

Lovely scene. We have a bandstand in New Orleans City Park very similar to this; in fact it may have been copied from this.
