Late for Christmas and Now No Minimum Snow Record

We got a little over 2 inches of snow on Wednesday (mostly lake effect) and I finally had to find my snow shovel and clear the driveway. We did not have a white Christmas and we were going for the lowest snow total in Dec since 1928 but we got this measly couple of inches of snow and so we don't get that record either.
Since Wednesday the temperatures are back up in the 40's F (~ 4C) so the snow has melted and we're back to green/brown lawns, no snow and above average temperatures.
This too will change early next week when we are expecting really cold air from Canada to sweep over us and bring us back to reality or whatever Mother Nature has in store for us.

Now Patti, one small shovel-able snow fall for the season and your disappointed! :-) I hate when you get so close to breaking a record and miss it! We have had about a 1/4 inch of snow and it melted before I could shovel it! I'm getting afraid of what will hit in the next three months! Happy New year kiddo!

Happy New Year Patti. This looks very pretty and it's more than we've had.

We're getting quite a bit of snow now, after having none until Christmas Day. I guess we're sending the extra down your way! Nice shot of this lightly snow dusted scene.
