Frank

the (very) occasional macro

....and THE classic tragic story of love and betrayal...actually painful to read...

I stumbled upon this beautifully illustrated 1932 edition in a local
used bookshop. An inscription written on the inside title leaf reads:
"Kathrinna
from Elsie
1-5-33"

other sizes: small medium large original auto

Great shot, my kind of subject matter Frank. An interesting find at the local antiquarian book store. Most people don't associate this with the Chaucer poem at all, but with the play by the man who supposedly also wrote Hamlet. ;-) "V"

looks well-thumbed too...painful to read for story or style?...a good contemporary novel is Half Blood BLues by Esi Edugyan....half way through it and am totally entranced...it may well become a classic too..
