Lister ...... actually very happy ! !

Welcome to Lister Cumming's Images - I am currently retired after 45 years in the Graphics side of the printing industry.
I was initially apprenticed in a Glasgow Herald company studio as a Black and White & 4 Colour Camera operator
and have held many positions in the industry through to Partner and M.D. before finally retiring as Technical Director.
My work has taken me all over Europe, the USA and a never to be forgotten short spell in Lagos Nigeria.
I have lived the colour process through the evolution of wet plate, photo plates into film and finally into digital.
The path has been varied & very stressful at times, but certainly never boring.
During this time I have experienced letterpress, offset litho and for the majority of my career
the highly technical Rotary Gravure Process, producing engraved printing cylinders for the packaging,
decorative, giftwrap and security markets.
I am very fortunate to be married to a very patient and special lady for the last 45 years and our family
extends to 2 children and 6 grand children.
My hobbies are Fly Fishing, Golf, Football, Rugby, Motorcycling and Photography.
With regard to Football and Rugby I live in the eternal hope of Scotland actually winning something!!!
I am the lucky owner of a Yamaha TDM 900 motorbike and a Nikon D800 & D300 along with a range of lenses - we often travel together.
I have been involved with images all my working life and they still hold a great fascination for me.
Home now is now in rural Perthshire Scotland,
If you have enjoyed viewing my images.....then please leave a vote or comment ..... I would be very pleased to hear from you.
Thanks and kind regards,
Lister
