incongruous

incongruous though the weather seems, this is Christmas Eve 2011...in transit to Victoria aboard the 'Spirit of Vancouver Island'...the sun broke through for the second half of the 90 minute ferry trip...family dinner ahead, with friends there too, 15 in total...great times, food, and fun, especially with three 6 year old boys providing an undercurrent of energy

Yes, the burst of sunshine must have been exhilarating, especially on the water.
The sun seemed to be ushering in the warmth of family memories to come.
All the best to you and your family David for the New Year!

Seems a delightful way to travel, especially when the destination is bound to be so festive. I have to believe three 6 yr. old boys added more than just an "undercurrent" of energy :)

Strong perspective. The wet deck and dark sky add to the crispness in this sharp image. I trust you had a wonderful time.

A sparkling white ferry, a beautiful day and a terrific perspective makes this shot a delight to view. Hope you had a great dinner and ran it all off chasing the kids around! V

Love ferries and this looks like a super one -- gorgeous angle to get the sweep of its sleekness with its fancy windows and its decks.

Great light and shadows on your ferry trip to a festive family dinner, 15 is a good number for dinner, we had that many too. v
