The Äußeres Burgtor (Outer Castle Gate) in Vienna, designed by Peter von Nobile in the Neoclassical style and completed in 1824. Built to commemorate the soldiers of the Battle of Leipzig (1813), the imposing structure features five arched gateways framed by gilded Latin inscriptions celebrating Emperor Francis I and honoring Austrian troops. Today, it serves as a ceremonial entrance between Ringstraße and Heldenplatz, as well as a memorial to fallen soldiers.
