Front axle from my sons car, mechanic said it was a wonder
he had been able to drive it there. The dark area in the
threads is where it is almost cut through.

Brenda we were in the office of the repair shop and he held it up to the outside window where the lights were outside.
Ed the totla with tax and all was $392.00

This is Fred's son answering. That's the front passenger wheel axel to my 2000 Saturn LS2. The guys in the shop were amazed that I managed to drive the car in like that. They said that it was ready to fall apart. The crack in that thing is huge. I had to replace that and my front passenger wheel ball joint.
